About Susan Hagan

Susan Hagan Cert.ED MBTER is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Clinical Practitioner of Aromatherapy, Remedial Masseuse and Bowen Therapist. She has taught for the SEED Institute for 20 years and other well-known Schools and Aromatherapy Colleges.

As she lived in Nepal for 13 years she has maintained a strong affiliation with an Ayurvedic clinic in Nepal that provides authentic Ayurvedic treatments to both the local population and visitors from the West. She has assisted in the training of their Therapists and in the modernisation of the Clinic. It is to this clinic that she takes groups of delegates who wish to visit Nepal and to avail themselves of traditional authentic Ayurvedic treatment on her trips to Nepal in February each year.

She has published articles for numerous Professional journals over the last 20 years and has taught Aromatherapy and allied subjects in the U.K., U.S.A., Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Canada, Nepal and India.

She lectures and teaches at many National and International schools and was most recently invited to speak on the subject of Ayurveda and Himalayan oils at the 7th Symposium International d'Aromatherapie et Plantes Medicinales 2005 in Grasse, France and most recently at the Annual Open Day at Essentially Oils in September 2007.

Her most recent projects include trips to visit Bulgaria for the traditional Rose Festival of Bulgaria. On these trips delegates visit the Rose fields and pick the Roses that they will see distilled in the Enio Bonchev Rose Distillery in Tarnichane, Valley of the Roses, where Su also has a house.  The next trip is on June 2 -14 June 2008.  Please see details at the appropriate page.

On the 1st November 2007 she will be going to Bulgaria for a longer period than usual to begin to renovate the houses that she has acquired there.  These houses will be renovated in sustainable materials using local adobe bricks and there will be additional new buildings made from Straw Bales. This is the fulfillment of a 20 year old dream that she has nurtured.  She will return to the UK each March, June and September to teach in various venues listed on the appropriate page.
