13th December '07 held at Ash Vale, Hampshire / Surrey Border.
Introduction to Bowen
As an introduction to this remarkably
effective Therapy this course will enable you to experience Bowen for yourself.
It is not a complete training and you will not be able to advertise that you are
a Bowen Therapist after just one day but it will help you to decide if the full
Diploma training is for you.
Tom Bowen developed the Bowen
Technique in Australia in the 1950’s. It is an amazing system of healing,
providing a holistic approach to addressing many diverse and varied
conditions-physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual.
The Bowen therapy consists of a series of very precise movements at specific
points on the muscle and connective tissue over the whole body, using the thumbs
and fingers to minutely disturb the fascia and thereby stimulate energy flow and
the body to rebalance itself. It helps to balance all aspects of our complex
beings and many even report a subtle yet striking, lightening of the spirits.
Treatment using the Bowen Technique aims to support the natural healing
capabilities of the body and is, in the majority of cases, very successful. This
course will introduce the Bowen Technique to the qualified therapist or the
newcomer to Physical Therapy. There are no pre-requisites for this course.
Students of this course wishing to continue towards a Susan Hagan's
Certification In Bowen Technique will be awarded prior learning.
